Early Life and Education

Emmanuel Macron was born on December 21, 1977, in Amiens, France. His father, Jean-Michel Macron, was a professor of neurology, and his mother, Françoise Noguès, was a physician. Macron has two younger siblings: a brother, Laurent, and a sister, Estelle.

Macron attended the prestigious Lycée Henri IV in Paris, where he excelled in academics. He later studied philosophy at the École Normale Supérieure and public administration at the École Nationale d'Administration (ENA).

Early Career

After graduating from ENA, Macron worked as an inspector in the French Ministry of Finance. He later served as a special advisor to President François Hollande.

In 2014, Macron was appointed Minister of Economy, Industry, and Digital Affairs. In this role, he implemented a number of economic reforms, including the "Macron Law," which aimed to make the French labor market more flexible.

Presidency

In 2017, Macron ran for president as a centrist independent candidate. He defeated Marine Le Pen of the far-right National Front in the second round of voting.
