Early Life and Career
David John LeMahieu was born on July 13, 1988, in Visalia, California. He began his professional baseball career in 2009 after being drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the second round of the MLB Draft.
In 2011, LeMahieu made his MLB debut with the Cubs. He spent five seasons with the team before being traded to the Colorado Rockies in 2016.
